The Breast Health Center at Kent, a collaboration with Women & Infants’ Hospital, will celebrate breast cancer survivorship by hosting the fourth annual Breast Health Fair Friday May 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Kent Hospital Doctors’ Auditorium. The event is open to all cancer survivors, caregivers, staff and the community. Lunch will be provided.
There will be a case study presentation at noon, “Planted with love: How gardens and a healthy lifestyle can help us heal.” Panel members include Candace Dyer, MD, physician director of The Breast Health Center at Kent; Angela DeRobertis, MD, radiation oncologist; Ellen Healy, LMHC, clinical Social Worker and Lauren Talbert RD, CSO, LDN, dietitian, Women & Infants. The panel will be moderated by Ashley Stuckey, MD, breast surgeon, Kent and Women & Infants hospitals.
Special guest Tom Benjamin, architectural landscaper, designer of Kent Hospital’s award- winning healing gardens, will discuss the benefits of therapeutic and wellness gardens.For more information, please contact Kim McDonough, program director of The Breast Health Center at Kent, at 736-3737.
