Kent Hospital is calling for volunteers who will help make a world of difference. Volunteers brighten lives every day at Kent Hospital, whether it’s putting a smile on a patient’s face, saying a friendly hello to a visitor or supporting the needs of staff.
Kent Hospital volunteers have the opportunity to help others, meet new people, gain new skills or keep old ones alive. In addition, volunteers also receive free hospital-wide education classes, including all computer technology courses, a $6 meal ticket on the day that they volunteer, quarterly newsletter and updates, annual infection control and prevention training, opportunity to purchase discounted event tickets in Human Resources, and an annual recognition luncheon for their service.
The hospital has volunteer opportunities in the Gift Shop, Emergency Room, Hospitality Lounge, Chaplaincy and Security.
Those interested are invited to attend an information session on Sept. 24 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Kent Hospital Doctors’ Auditorium. For more information, contact the Department of Volunteer Services at 737-7000 ext. 31328, or visit www.kenthospital.org.
