Kent cocktain party celebrates Heart Assn. ‘wear red day’

Kent Hospital will celebrate the American Heart Association’s National Wear Red Day on Feb. 3 with a special “Step Out In Red” cocktail party. The event will take place at Bistro 9, East Greenwich Golf Club, 1643 Division Street, East Greenwich, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association.

“Kent Hospital is pleased once again to partner with the American Heart Association for this enjoyable evening as we raise awareness for heart health,” said Rene Fischer, senior vice president and chief nursing officer, who is chairing this outreach effort. “Here at Kent Hospital it is important that we work with the community to ensure proper heart health and provide education that certainly could help save lives.”

Tickets are available for $35 from Kent Hospital’s Patient Care Services office by calling 737 -7010 ext. 35033. Hors d’oeuvres will be served and entertainment will be provided by Morning Glory. Space is limited Also, back by popular demand the special edition red shoe collectors pin is available for $10.
