Hickey tossed a complete game two-hitter as Vets beat defending state champion Cranston West 3-1 on Friday. Hickey struck out three as Vets snapped a five-game losing streak.

"I was keeping the ball down and I threw my changeup really well,” Hickey said. “I kept them off-balance all day. That was definitely the best game I've pitched. It was sweet."
