Three members of the CCRI golf team finished their play on day three in the Division III Golf Championship at Chautauqua Golf Club in Chautauqua, N.Y.
The Knights were led by Anthony Lovechio (South Kingstown) who finished tied for 45th with scores of 78, 85, 77, and 87 for a total of 327. Lovechio was followed by Patrick O’Connor (North Kingstown), who placed 78th with scores of 82, 94, 89, and 85 for a total of 350 and Andrew Schultheis (East Lyme, Conn.), who shot the low round of the fourth day for the Knights and his low round for the championship with an 82 to finish 81st with his scores being 90, 95, 90 and 82 for a total of 357. The Individual winner was Shane Dobesh of Monroe Community College with scores of 73, 74, 72 and 71 for a total of 29 – just two-over par.
The team winner was Minnesota State Technical College with scores of 315, 305, 297 and 307 for a total of 1,224. They were followed by host school Jamestown Community College with scores of 317, 314, 311 and 300 for a total of 1,242 and in third place was Louisburg Community College with scores of 314, 317, 304 and 309 for a total of 1,244. In fourth place was Monroe Community College, scoring a four-day total of 324, 316, 300 and 306 for a total of 1,246.
