Lady Antebellum rocks The Dunk

CVS added to its long list of charitable acts by bringing in the country/rock group Lady Antibellum to the Dunkin Donuts Center last week.

One of the most popular groups on the circuit, Lady Antebellum combines country, rock and some of the best harmonies you’ll hear from a trio these days.

I liked them best when they did a medley of their songs without the overpowering backup band, but I must admit that the younger folks in the audience liked it loud, and it couldn’t have been any louder.

Background graphics and visuals added to the show, and what a show they put on, singing all of their hits plus a few covers.

I fell in love with the group after their number one hit, “I Need You Now,” enjoying the terrific voice of Hillary Scott and the blending of her style with her two male singers.

A word of warning to “older folks” (over 30) who attend pop concerts: Young fans stand during the entire concert, so don’t buy a floor seat. You can see and hear better in the stadium seats. And bring your earplugs.
