Leonard P. “Lou” Ludovico, 85, died March 13, 2014. He was the beloved husband for 60 years of Jean (D’Onofrio) Ludovico.

Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, a son of the late Frank P. and Anna (Lomartire) Ludovico he had been a resident of Warwick since 1970 formerly residing in Providence. Lou was an accordion teacher for over 60 years and had taught at Gasperini Music and Arruda Music studios. Throughout his musical career, he prepared many students for competitions and had arranged music for student bands. He was a member of the Accordian Teachers of MA. A Korean War veteran, he served as a staff sergeant in the United States Air Force.

Besides his wife, is survived by two daughters, Lola J. Smith and her husband, Jeffrey and Elaine A. Hargraves; devoted grandfather of Brian and Heather Smith. He was the brother of the late Frank P. Ludovico, Jr.

His funeral will be held Monday, March 17, at 8:30 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine Church, Apponaug. Burial with military honors in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Sunday 3-8 p.m.
