Leonora A. D'Eletto

Leonora A. D'Eletto, 94, formerly of Warwick, and Bayonet Point, Fla., passed away peacefully surrounded by her family December 11, 2011 at Coventry Skilled Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Peter P. DEletto.
Born in New Bedford, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Felix and Mary Gimer. She made her way to Rhode Island from Massachusetts to attend Bryant University, where she graduated in 1936. She met her husband while in Rhode Island, and they were married in 1943. After living many years in Warwick, they moved to South Bend, Ind. and later retired to Bayonet Point. She enjoyed playing golf, bridge, gardening and spending time with her family. At the age of 91, she returned to Rhode Island.
She is survived by her son, Peter M. DEletto and his wife, Brenda, of Warwick; three grandchildren, Nicholas M. and Alexander P. DEletto of Warwick and Peter J. Yates of Florida; and her sister, Hilda Wilga of Erie, Pa. She was the mother of the late Leonora A. Yates.
A memorial Mass will be held Dec. 19 at 10 a.m. in St. Peter Church, 350 Fair St., Warwick.
