Nationally known host of “Antiques Roadshow” Mark L. Walberg will host a special interactive “Let’s Make a Deal” at Foxwoods this weekend, October 29-31.

Walberg has been hosting the popular PBS show for 10 years, in addition to hosting three other TV shows, plus serving as a live host for live versions of “The Price is Right” and “Let’s Make a Deal.”

Walberg started his television career as an assistant at Dick Clark Productions and quickly moved in front of the cameras as the announcer for the popular game show “Shop Til You Drop” and then as host for “Burnt Toast,” a sports magazine show on ESPN. From there, it was the nationally syndicated “The Mark Walberg Show.”

Mark had just traveled from his home in California to Foxwoods to complete preparations for the live audience-participation show.

“It’s a bit different from the TV version,” he said. “We choose our contestants right from the audience. It’s a big show, and it is fun doing it with a big audience.”

Mark considers the late Dick Clark a mentor and still enjoys working with his wife developing shows.

“One night the warm-up comedian didn’t show up and I went on in his place,” he said. “That started a whole new challenge.”

“One of our new shows debuts tonight,” he said. “We’ve got another new show on the Discovery Family Channel.”

While Mark is on the road a lot, he enjoys returning to California and spending time with his family. He says that he is very impressed with Foxwoods and looks forward to some lively, fun shows.

“Audience members will go home with cash and prizes and have a good time,” he said.
