Liberine Anna (Amitrano) Keedy, age 88, passed away on August 30, 2016 at Saint Elizabeth Home in East Greenwich after a brief illness.
Born in Providence at her family’s home on Academy Avenue in 1928, she and her husband George raised six children and lived in Warwick for almost 50 years. She worked as a cook in the school cafeterias at Lockwood and Toll Gate before returning to college and starting a career in nursing. After retiring from nursing at age 72, she worked at Oakland Beach School in the cafeteria. Her spirit joins those she loved who passed on before her and will always be with those who love her still. She was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be remembered as a kind soul who helped and loved many along her life’s journey.
