The Warwick Public Library will show the complete six “Thin Man” movies, starring William Powell and Myrna Loy as Nick and Nora Charles, on Saturdays, Jan. 18 and 25 and Feb. 1, 8, 15 and 22 at 2 p.m.

Nick and Nora are the best screen couple ever. No one has chemistry as splendid as socialite Nora and gentleman detective Nick. In each film, the duo and their dog Asta are caught up in a mystery. Come for witty repartee, murder, cocktails, and luxurious style.

On Jan. 18, see “The Thin Man” (1934). Based on the classic

Dashiell Hammett tale, Nick investigates the disappearance of a spiteful inventor.

On Jan. 25, enjoy “After the Thin Man” (1936). A New Year’s Eve visit with Aunt Katherine, the stuffy matriarch of Nora’s family, plunges Nick into a dangerous riddle.

On Feb. 1, watch “Another Thin Man” (1939). When munitions manufacturer Colonel MacFay is killed, Nick is on the case.

On Feb. 8, sit back for “Shadow of the Thin Man” (1941). Nick and Nora go to the races to look into the shooting of a jockey.

On Feb. 15, see “The Thin Man Goes Home” (1944). Nick and Nora pay a visit to Nick’s sleepy hometown only to find themselves caught up in a murder.

On Feb. 22, enjoy “Song of the Thin Man” (1947). Nick investigates the killing of a bandleader on a gambling ship.
