Lightning strikes twice for lotto winner

Posted

Kevin Gilchrist of Warwick recently visited the Rhode Island Lottery for the second time in eight months to claim a sizeable Instant Game prize. He bought his first $5 Instant Ticket, the 40th Anniversary game, and won $40,000. He usually plays $10 Instant Tickets and was in the Lottery this past December claiming a $75,000 prize from the Trim the Tree Instant Game. He hasn’t decided how he will spend the winnings this time, but said he will give each of his three children some money. Gilchrist bought this winning 40th Anniversary ticket, and also the Trim the Tree winning ticket, from Lakewood Liquors at 774 Warwick Ave. in Warwick.
