Governor Gina M. Raimondo has nominated Christopher H. Little and Heather Tow-Yick to the Board of Directors of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation. Raimondo submitted their names to the Rhode Island State Senate for confirmation.

“As we work to strengthen our economy, we are building a coordinated strategy to attract visitors and businesses to Rhode Island,” said Raimondo in a statement.

“Chris and Heather understand this goal and the role our airport must play in making our state stronger. I also want to thank Bradford Dimeo and John Justo for their dedication and great work on this board.”

The Rhode Island Airport Corporation operates T.F. Green Airport and the five general aviation airports in Rhode Island. It is governed by a board of directors consisting of seven appointed members who serve in staggered terms.

Little is a partner at Pierce Atwood and has over 35 years of law experience throughout New England. He practices extensively in complex commercial litigation in the courts of Rhode Island and Massachusetts and beyond and also represents owners and contractors and design professionals in public and private construction projects. Little holds an A.B. from Duke University and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

Tow-Yick is the founding executive director of Teach for America in Rhode Island. She was previously the managing director of human assets for Teach for America in New York and a consultant at the Bridgespan Group, bringing leading strategies to nonprofit organizations. Tow-Yick holds a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University, a Master of Arts in English Education from Columbia University Teachers College, and a Master of Arts in business administration from MIT Sloan School of Management.
