To the Editor:
Over the most recent years the quality of life has been diminishing in today’s culture and is now reminding me of the old 1934 Cole Porter’s musical “Anything Goes.”
We are now requiring inclusiveness, diversity and politically correct action, which are worthwhile goals, yet our moral compass seems off course.
I would like to offer a few random thoughts that can guide all of us to live with purpose, understanding, friendship and joy.
Gain peace and love at home then pass it on
Family and friends should be forever
Listen and learn from young and old
Spend time with a child to show them the way
Hard work and sacrifice will gain it’s reward
True prosperity is obtaining most of your needs but not your wants
Enjoy life at every age it will unfold with purpose as we grow
Walk in humility as your deeds will define who you are
Share your gifts and talents with those in need
