Loretta (Reynolds) DeTroia, 84 of Warwick passed away on Tuesday May 8, 2012. She was the beloved wife of John DeTroia for 63 years.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Walter A. and Dorothy (MacEachran) Reynolds. As a young woman Loretta worked at Miss Duttons, The Biltmore Hotel and the Golden Lantern and in later years was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, traveled extensively and wintered in Florida with her loving husband John. Loretta was a beautiful person, generous and caring; she was loved by all who knew her. She devoted her entire life to her family and will forever remain in their hearts.
Loretta was the loving mother of John DeTroia Jr., Linda DeTroia, James DeTroia and wife, Carol; and dear sister of Rose DiCenso and husband, Guido and late Walter Reynolds and Dorothy Lynch; she leaves grandchildren Robert A Jackson and wife, Enid, Jennifer Jackson, Lyndsey DeTroia, Dyanna DeTroia, and Tayla DeTroia; three great-grandchildren Angelica and Rafael Negron and Robert John Jackson.
Her funeral will be held Friday, May 11, 2012 at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Thursday 5-8 p.m.
