To the Editor:
I want to personally apologize to the hundreds of parents and their advanced students for not being able to save the valuable and honored Accelerated Learning Activities Program (ALAP) that benefited all students, in one way or the other. Everyone who has been involved in this productive and educational program for these many years, including the caring teachers, all deserve much better than this outcome.
In my opinion, it is a backward step that will have a negative effect on the overall education of our fine and industrious students, especially in the elementary schools.
