Lottie Rose Asselin, 94, of Warwick passed away on June 24 in the presence of her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Deus Asselin.
Born in Providence on June 16, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Caruolo) Abruzzese. Lottie was a resident of Oakland Beach for 86 years. She loved to reminisce about her early years living through the ’38 and ’54 hurricanes. She spoke fondly about her love of cooking and visiting her grandparents’ farm. Lottie was a communicant of St. Rita Church.
She was the loving mother of Jeanette Rozzero and her husband, Paul, Karen Ketcham and her husband, William; the devoted grandmother of Brian Rozzero, Lisa Offiler and her husband, Andrew, Benjamin Ketcham; and the dear sister of the late Anthony Abruzzese.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Rita Church, Oakland Beach Ave. The burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Warwick.
