Louis A. Guarino
Louis A. Guarino, 81, of Glocester, a retired self-employed plumber, died January 8, 2012 at Overlook Nursing Home. He was the husband of Anna C. (Elgar) Guarino.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Paul and Josephine (Musto) Guarino. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was an avid Red Sox fan. He previously owned Shop & Wash laundromat on Smith St. in Providence and The White Lady Motel in Daytona, Fla.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Donna M. Smith of Greenville; a son, Louis A. Guarino Jr. of Glocester; four grandchildren, Melissa Smith-McGinity, Jessica Guarino, Jason Smith and Jennifer D'Antonio; four great-grandchildren, Domenic Smith, Lindsay Smith, Ashton D'Antonio and Henry McGinity; a brother Paul Guarino; and two sisters, Barbara Kulz and Bettie Smith.
His funeral service was held Jan. 14 at Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial with military honors followed at Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
