Lynn G. Bruner, 73, of Placida, Florida and Warwick, died peacefully on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Barbara J. (Henry) Bruner for 47 years.

Born in Butler, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Henry S. Bruner and M. Helen (Graham) Bruner. Mr. Bruner was employed as a Customer Service Manager for Wardwell Braiding Machine Co. of Central Falls until his retirement. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy Shellback, where he participated in the Gemini V and Apollo Space Craft recoveries. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.

Besides his wife, he leaves his three loving children: Beth A. Dion and her husband, Gil of Coventry, William H. Bruner and his wife, Denise of Warwick and Susan A. Farnum and her husband, David of Coventry. He was the cherished grandfather of Erin Dion, Laura Dion, Nicholas Bruner, Avery Farnum, Mia Farnum and the late Grace and Isabel Farnum.

His Funeral will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 8:45 a.m. from The Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave., Route 5, (Exit 12A off I-95) with a Requiem Eucharist at 10:00 a.m. in All Saints Episcopal Church, 111 Greenwich Ave., Warwick. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
