Madeline C. (Garrepy) Wronoski, age 91, of Sparrows Point II, Cowesett Road, Warwick, died on February 25, 2013 at Kent County Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Henry S. “Hank” Wronoski.
Born in Blackstone, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Homer J. and Ida E. (LeBlanc) Garrepy, she lived in Warwick since 1954. Mrs. Wronoski was employed as a secretary in the Purchasing Department at Warwick City Hall for nine years, retiring in 1987. She previously worked in the office at Leesona Corporation in Warwick. She was a member of the Sparrows Point II Residents Association, and a former member of the Cranston Seniors Bowling League.
She is survived by a daughter, Jane R. McKinney of West Greenwich, two sons, Henry R. Wronoski of West Warwick and Mark M. Wronoski of Warwick; a brother, Joseph H. Garrepy of North Kingstown; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was the mother of the late Gayle N. Shannon; the grandmother of the late Suzanne M. Renaud; and the sister of the late Alice Boucher, Irene Moon, Ruth Langford, Mae MacDonald, Earl Garrepy, Pauline Davies, James Garrepy, and Eleanor Pouliot.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 28, at 11 a.m. in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited, and may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 9-11 a.m. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
