Make way for Main Avenue

Posted

This house on Main Avenue not far from Child Lane became the fourth of 14 houses that will be removed for the relocation of Main Avenue. Work on the road is expected to commence early next summer after Winslow Park playing fields, which are also in the path of the relocated road, are operational at their new location on the northeast side of the airport. The work is all being done as part of the extension of the airport’s main runway to 8,700 feet. Watching the neighborhood home, owned by the estate of Arlene Kingmas, come down are Aiden and Connor Bianco and Brady St. Jean with his mother, Katie St. Jean.

To the editor. I believe the last name of Arlene is spelled Kingma and not Kingmas.
