Manuel R. Esteves, age 81, of Harrington Avenue, Warwick, died at home on June 18, 2013.
Born in Cranston, a son of the late Antonio and Maria doCarmo (Silva) Esteves, he lived in Warwick for most of his life. He was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Esteves was employed in building construction for 30 years before retiring 15 years ago. He was a member of the RI Laborers Union. He was a former member of the Cranston Portuguese Club.
He is survived by two sisters, Adelina Peterson and Erminia Esteves, both of Warwick, a brother, Horace Esteves of Jacksonville, Florida; three nephews, two nieces; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, June 22, at 9 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. William Church, 200 Pettaconsett Avenue, Warwick. Visiting hours are Friday 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
