Good for school
Many winners

Lippitt School students and faculty gathered Tuesday in the school auditorium for an unusual raffle that will end up benefiting the school. Lippitt was one of a few schools to be chosen for a $1,000 Wal-Mart contribution. The money was given out in $50 gift certificates to 20 teachers whose names were drawn from a jar. The teachers plan to use their certificates on supplies that they need for their classes. Wal-Mart community coordinators Trista Brearton and Yris Marcos were present to make certificate presentations. Here, second grader Patrick Wilson suggests some of the items his teacher Lorraine Gagnon might get with the certificate she won. Also, gathered for a picture are all the teachers who won certificates. (Warwick Beacon photos)
