Maria A. (Olivo) Cardillo

Maria A. (Olivo) Cardillo, 91, a Warwick resident since 1955, died March 21, 2013 at St. Luke’s Home, New Hartford, New York, in the care of her devoted family. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Cardillo.

Born in Providence, February 17, 1922, she was a daughter of the late John B. and Mary (Caccia) Olivo. Mrs. Cardillo was employed for many years as a bookkeeper by the Leesona Corp. and the Day O Lite Mfg. Co. until her retirement. A longtime benefactor and faithful communicant of Saint Francis of Assisi Church, Mrs. Cardillo was a member of the Ladies of Saint Anne Society. In her later years she enjoyed caring for her cherished grandchildren.

Mrs. Cardillo is survived by her loving daughters, Paula A. Cardillo of Warwick, Marcia L. Archibald and her husband, Gordon Archibald, MD of New Hartford, NY and Jane M. DeGiulio and her husband, Gerald DeGiulio of Warwick; her adored grandchildren, Alison L. Perisic and her husband, Urosh Perisic, Ashley R. Archibald, Gerald T. DeGiulio, Mitchell J. DeGiulio, Joseph J. DeGiulio; and great-granddaughter Sophia Perisic. She was the caring aunt of Theodore J. DeNicola and his family; and the sister of the late Anna DeNicola.

Her funeral will be held Monday, March, 25, 2013 at 8:45 a.m. from The Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick. Burial will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m.
