Marie A. (DelVecchio) DeSisto, age 82, of Bly Street, Warwick, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on September 22, 2012. She was the beloved wife of John DeSisto.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina (Pelosi) DelVecchio, she was a life-long Warwick resident. Mrs. DeSisto was employed in the lunch program in the Warwick Public Schools. She was a parishioner of St. William Church in Warwick.
Besides her husband; she is survived by three daughters, Susan A. Taylor of Coventry, Pamela J. LeBlanc of Warwick, and Kristen M. Fernandes of Warwick, two sons, Jonathan J. DeSisto and Stephen J. DeSisto, both of Warwick; a brother, Domenic DelVecchio of North Kingstown; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Tiffany R. DeSisto, and the sister of the late Robert DelVecchio and Madeline Caroselli.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, September 27, at 9 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. William Church, Pettaconsett Avenue, Warwick. Visiting hours are Wednesday 5-8 p.m. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
