Marion A. (Day) Owens, 97, of Mawney Ave., passed away March 18, 2012 at Brentwood Nursing Home. She was wife of the late Irving J. Owens Sr.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late of William J. and Clara (Bergeron) Day. Marion worked for Coro Manufacturing in Providence for over 45 years until it closed in 1979. She enjoyed dancing and singing.
She is survived by her son, Irving J. Owens Jr. of East Greenwich; her sisters, Eileen Monroe, Regina Fagnant, Helen Vandermost and Joan Noble; her brother, James Day; her grandchildren, Michael, Bryan and Kelly Owens; her great-grandchildren, Michael J. Owens Jr. and Jake Ryan Owens. She was the sister of the late Veronica Williams, Madeline Engles, Georgianna Head, Francis Day, Frederick Day and Albert Day.
Her funeral will be held March 21 at 8:45 a.m. from Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Benedict Church, 135 Beach Ave., Warwick. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are March 20 from 4-7 p.m.
