Marjorie B. Yarnel, 84, passed away January 1, 2012 at Steere House from complications of Alzheimers disease. She was the loving wife of the late Irwin Yarnel, to whom she was married for 57 years until his death in 2007.

Born in Manhattan, N.Y., a daughter of the late Jack and Sarah Fauer, Marjorie was a kindergarten teacher in Syosset, N.Y. until her retirement in 1993, when she moved to Rhode Island. She was a past president of The Leisure Club of Temple Emanu-El and served on the board of the Cranston Senior Guild for many years. Her passions included traveling, reading, gardening and cooking.

She leaves behind her devoted daughter, Carol Yarnel of Warwick. She is also survived by her brother, Dr. Neil Feuer and his wife, Rochelle, and her nephew and niece.

The family wishes to thank the professional staff of The Seasons and Steere House for the loving, compassionate care given to Marjorie over the last four years.

Funeral services and shiva were private.
