Mary E. (Burdick) Martini

Mary E. (Burdick) Martini, age 75, of Warwick, died on August 21, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Donald E. “Marty” Martini.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Frank O. and Mary E. (Harlow) Burdick, she was a life-long Warwick resident. Mrs. Martini was co-founder, with her late husband, of Marty’s Liquors in the Governor Francis Plaza in Warwick. She was a past president of the Holliman P.T.A, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Gilchrist/Johnson Post V.F.W., and was a co-founder of the Citizens for Public Safety.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda J. Auger and her companion, Jose F. Pagan of North Kingstown, three sons, Steven M. Martini and his wife, Kerri, Thomas A. Martini, and Kenneth P. Martini, all of Warwick; two sisters, Helen Noble of Warwick and Rita Woodard of Florida, two brothers, Frank “Pete” Burdick of Warwick and Ronald Burdick of Clinton, Conn.; and six grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Matthew Auger and Christopher Martini.

Her funeral service was held on Saturday, August 25, in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick. Burial was in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
