Mary F. (Dyer) Sisson, 81, died January 27, 2012 peacefully at home in the company of her family. She was the beloved wife for 57 years of Howard Sisson.

She was the daughter of the late Francis A. and Mary T. (Halloran) Dyer. She has been a resident of Warwick for most of her life and a summer resident of Sakonnet Point, Little Compton. Mrs. Sisson was a graduate of St. Xavier High, Class of 1949, and a member of its Alumni Association and a communicant of St. Kevin Church. She devoted her life to her family and to the service of others.

She was the mother of Paul Sisson, Peter F. Sisson, Capt. WFD, Laurie A. DiVello, Joseph A. Sisson, Mary G. Handren and Mark T. Sisson; grandmother of Joshua, James, Danielle and Andrew Sisson, Sean and Maggie Handren; and sister of Sheila A. Boyd.

Her funeral will be held Feb. 1 at 9 a.m. from Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane. Burial will be in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Little Compton. Visiting hours are Jan. 31 from 4-8 p.m.
