Mary H. (Ryan) Niedzwicki, 89, passed away on June 26, 2012 surrounded by her devoted family. Mary was the wife of the late John Niedzwicki.
Born in Providence, on January 20, 1923, a daughter of the late William J. and Mary E. (Masterson) Ryan, she resided in Warwick since 1961. Mary worked in the office at Brown and Sharpe. In 1965, she returned to school, and was a 1970 graduate of the first class of the University of Rhode Island Extension Continuing Education for Women. She received a BA in English and subsequently taught English as a Graduate Assistant at URI, and later received an M.A. in English and taught at Johnson & Wales. Mary also worked in the office at The Outlet Company and Narragansett Brewery. She was a life-master in duplicate bridge, an active member of the Warwick Bridge Club and was a communicant of St. Benedict Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and beloved by her family.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Joan M. Jarzombek and her husband, Stanley, of Warwick, her son, George R. Niedzwicki and his wife, Lisa Kimbro, of Ardmore Pennsylvania; grandsons, Matthew and Ryan Jarzombek, and David Niedzwicki; sister, Jane Hargraves of Warwick, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late William J. Ryan, Jr.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, June 30 at 8 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Benedict Church, Beach Ave. Burial in Rhode Island Veterans’ Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Friday 5-8 p.m.
