Mary Shekarchi installed realtor president

Mary Shekarchi has been installed as 2014 President of the Kent Washington Association of Realtors®. She was sworn in on Oct. 3 at the Association’s Annual Meeting and Installation at the Warwick Country Club. Mary is a broker owner of Shawomet Realty in Warwick. 

Mary has been a member of the Kent Washington Association of Realtors® since 1997, and has served the Association in many capacities, including as treasurer, vice president and president-elect. She has also served on numerous committees for the Kent Washington Association and is a director for the Rhode Island Association of Realtors®. 

Other Kent Washington Association officers sworn in were Peter Izzi of DeFelice Realtors® in Warwick as president-elect, Patricia Lenihan of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in East Greenwich as vice president, and Cely O’Brien of Randall Realtors Real Living in Charlestown as treasurer. Directors were also installed, including new Directors Crystal D’Agostino of Keller Williams Realty Central Rhode Island, Ann Enos of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Warwick, Linda Plouffe of Aquarius Real Estate in Warwick, Joseph Robenhymer of Ann O’Brien Realty in Narragansett and Robert Cressman Jr. of Weichert Realtors®, Cress & Company in East Greenwich. Alyce Kleczek of Bay Realty Ltd. in Narragansett was also installed as Parliamentarian. 

Matt Phipps of Phipps Realty was honored as 2013 KWAOR Realtor® of the Year and Rebecca Moniz of Weichert, Realtors® Cress & Company was recognized for being a national finalist for the REALTOR® Magazine Good Neighbor Award.
