Maureen Ann (Lynch) Dion, age 53 of Warwick, formerly of Waterbury CT, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday evening, November 8, 2016.

Maureen was born on June 18, 1963 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of Bernard M. and Louise (Lombardo) Lynch of Waterbury, CT. She was a 1981 graduate of Holy Cross High School and attended Roger Williams College where she studied business education. Maureen spent the past 30 years working as an employment recruiter for the manufacturing and hospitality industry throughout the Rhode Island area. She enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Ocean State Women's Golf Association and served as past president of the Sea View Country Club Women's Golf League. She also enjoyed coaching her daughters’ softball teams, but was always happiest while spending time with her daughters and family.

Besides her parents in Waterbury, Maureen is survived by her two daughters, both of Warwick, Stephanie Lenzi and husband, Johnathan, and Kaylyn Dion and fiancé, Timothy Brassil; a stepson, E. Thomas Dion and his wife, Jill, of Cranston, RI, and stepdaughter, Rene Dion of RI. Maureen is also survived by her four siblings, Bernard M. Lynch Jr. of Waterbury CT, Louise E. Lynch of Cheshire CT, Daniel M. Lynch of Trumbull CT, and Steven M. Lynch and his wife, Jennifer, of Granby CT; as well as her nieces Hannah W. and Eliza C. Lynch, nephews Declan R. and Nathan P. Lynch, aunts, uncles, and many cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Ms. Dion will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury, to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 785 Highland Avenue, Waterbury for a Mass of Christian Burial to commence at 10:30 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 669 Platt Road, Watertown CT. Relatives and friends may visit with Ms. Dion’s family on Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m., until leaving for church services from the funeral home.
