Maureen Lamantia, 65, passed away peacefully at Kent Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of John A. Lamantia.
She was the cherished daughter of Elizabeth (Zorabedian) Maio and the late Joseph Rush. In addition to being a loving mom, wife and grandmother, Maureen also worked with Child Find at St. Kevin School. She was a belly dance instructor at Jon Roe Studios. Maureen was a beautiful, funny person who will always be remembered for her sharp wit and feisty personality. Her family was her biggest joy in life, and she enjoyed caring for and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an animal lover, with a special place in her heart for pugs.
She was the devoted mother of Lisa M. Dowaliby and her husband, Raymond, and John J. Lamantia and his wife, Michelle; loving grandmother of Jenna and Maya Dowaliby and Amelia Lamantia.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane Monday, October 29 at 10 a.m. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
