Maxine Maybelle Sullivan, 84, passed away peacefully April 13, 2012 at home with her loving family at her side. She was the beloved wife of Daniel M. Sullivan for 64 years.
Born in Miami, Fla., she was the daughter of the late William and Maxine Kennedy and the granddaughter of Margaret J. Hill Bucklin. She retired from Women & Infants’ Hospital after 22 years of service. Maxine was a graduate of Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in Boston, having worked at M.I.T. and U.S. Naval Intelligence in Boston. Maxine was the best mother and wife you could ask for.
Maxine was the devoted mother of Margaret M. Sullivan of Raleigh, N.C., Mark Thomas Sullivan of Warwick and the late Daniel M. Sullivan III and mother-in-law of Thelma Sullivan of Charleston, S.C. She is the grandmother of Samantha A. Sullivan and Christal R. Bouyssou.
Her funeral will be held April 17 at 9 a.m. from Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Benedict Church, Beach Ave. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
