May Breakfasts

Oak Lawn Community Baptist Church, 229 Wilbur Ave., Cranston, will have its 145th Annual May Breakfast May 1 from 6-11 a.m. The menu includes clam cakes, scrambled eggs, ham, cornbread, coffee, juice and apple pie. Tickets are available at the door for $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under.

The Rotary Club of Warwick will have a What's On Your Plate? May Breakfast May 5 from 7:30-11 a.m. at the Pilgrim Senior Center, 27 Pilgrim Parkway, Warwick. They will be serving bacon eggs, sausage, homefries, juice, coffee and more. Admission is $7. Proceeds will benefit Rotary charities.

Greenwood Community Church, 805 Main Ave., Warwick, will be serving their annual May Breakfast May 5 from 7-11 a.m. The menu includes scrambled eggs, ham, pancakes, baked beans, assorted juices, cold cereals, home baked coffeecakes, muffins and breads, apple pie or apple squares, coffee, tea and milk. Also available for purchase are "May baskets" filled with homemade candy, cookies or plants and table centerpieces. No reservations are required and this hall is handicapped accessible. Adults $7, children under 12 $3, children under 5 eat free.

Sts. Rose & Clement Parish, 111 Long Street, Warwick, will hold a May Breakfast May 5 from 7:30-11 a.m. Their menu includes scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, beans, fruit salad, coffee tea, mild and much more. Prepaid tickets are suggested. For information call 739-0212.

First Baptist Church of East Greenwich will have its 42nd annual May Breakfast May 5 from 6:30-10 a.m. Enjoy scrambled eggs, ham, homefries, jonnycakes, homemade muffins, pies, coffee. Adults $7, children $3, under 5 eat free. Homemade May Baskets filled with fudge or flowers available for purchase. For more information or for tickets call 884-2322.

Norwood Baptist Church, 48 Budlong Ave., Warwick, will have their 87th annual May Breakfast on May 5 from 7-10 a.m. On the menu: eggs (cooked to order), bacon or ham, homefries, baked beans, cereal, muffins, rolls, pie, juice, coffee, tea or milk. Candy-filled May baskets will be sold along with all occasion gift baskets perfect for Mother's Day. Tickets $8 for adults, $4 for children 5-12, no charge for children under 5. There will be a May Breakfast to benefit the Coventry Public Library Foundation and the Literacy Volunteers of Kent County on May 5 from 8:30-10:30a.m. at Nino's on Lake Tiogue, 446 Tiogue Ave. Adults $10, children 6-10 $5, children 5 and under eat free. Raffles and kid's activities.

West Bay Yacht Club, next to McKinley's Pub at 1 Division St., East Greenwich, is hosting its annual May Breakfast May 6 beginning at 8 a.m. Anyone interested in learning more about the club is welcome to attend.

Christ the King Parish will have its May Breakfast May 6 from 7:30-11:30 a.m. at Christ the King Church Hall, 124 Legris Ave., Rte. 117, West Warwick. Adults $7, children 6-12 $4, children 5 and under eat free. The menu includes fresh fruit cup, Texas French toast, toast, scrambled eggs, ham, pork sausage, corned beef hash, beans, hash browns, dessert, coffee, tea and juice.

Kelley-Gazzerro VFW Post, 1418 Plainfield St., Cranston, will have a May Breakfast May 6 from 9-11:30 a.m. All you can eat fruit salad, juice, scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, sausage, bagels, muffins, toast and coffee. Donation is $9 for adults, $4 for children under 12.
