On Tuesday, May 15, 2012, Mayor Scott Avedisian of Warwick, Rhode Island, will be the Keynote Speaker at the RI Mediators Association’s second annual "Celebrate Mediation RI 2012" dinner event held at the Eleven Forty Nine Restaurant on Division Street in Warwick. The Mayor will address the process of building consensus when multiple parties are involved, and give us the background that led to the recent agreement between the Board of the RI Airport Corporation and the Warwick City Council. As a six-term Mayor of the State’s second largest city, Scott Avedisian has been an important player in the conflict and an advocate for his city.

Family Court Chief Judge Haiganush Bedrosian will introduce Mayor Scott Avedisian at the event.

"Celebrate Mediation RI 2012" is open to the public, as well as mediators and those interested in conflict resolution. Several prominent public figures have been invited to participate.
