McAllister will be listening to Ward 7 residents

To the Editor:

I would like to thank everyone who came out last Tuesday and voted for me for City Council in Ward 7. During the campaign, I was able to make many new friends and meet neighbors going door to door to introduce myself and share my thoughts on our great city. I was energized by those I met. I appreciated hearing others' perspectives about the city's strengths, as well those areas where we could use some improvement. Going forward, I plan to continue listening and learning from residents of the Ward so we can work together to help strengthen our community.

I'd also like to publicly thank all the individuals who worked on my campaign. A great number of family members, along with friends old and new, helped me gather signatures to qualify for the ballot, attended my fundraiser, walked door to door, passed out palm cards, introduced me to their neighbors, put signs on their lawns, and participated in my sign wave. Given the six vote margin of victory, every vote, every little thing my supporters did, helped win this election.

I am excited to get to work and advocate for safe, clean neighborhoods, exceptional city services, and sound, responsibly and transparently managed budgets. Ward 7 residents should always feel free to contact me at mcallisterforcouncil@gmail.com, or Facebook.com/McAllister4Council or at 287-1813. I look forward to serving you. And again, thank you.
