John and Patricia Richard of Delwood Rd., Warwick, and George and Julie Nathanson of Hathaway Dr., West Warwick, announce the engagement of their children, Meghan Marie Richard and Joshua Charles Nathanson.

Meghan is a graduate of Pilgrim High School and Rhode Island College. She is employed as an assistant manager.

Joshua is a graduate of Toll Gate High School. He is a United States Army corporal in Savannah, Ga.

The couple met through mutual friends. They became engaged in Savannah while Meghan was visiting Josh. They are planning a January 5, 2013 wedding at The Biltmore in Providence.
