Michael J. Glover, 72, a former Realtor, passed away, March, 22, 2013, at Home and Hospice Care of RI.
He was a son of the late John and Ann (Ganley) Glover. Michael was a United States Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, where he flew B-52 bombers. He was a two time decorated Colonel by President Lyndon B. Johnson and President Richard M. Nixon. He was the Chairman and founding member of the Warwick’s H.U.D. Community Development Board, a founding member of the Mayor’s Social Service Contributive Support Board, a founding member of the Committee on Homeless, a founding member of the Charter Review Committee, a member of the Parks and Recreation Committee, a member of the Warwick Chamber of Commerce, member of the Board of Directors of RI Realtors, an Officer and member of the Board of Directors of the Warwick Board of Realtors, State President and member of the Board of Directors of the RI Jaycees, President and member of the Board of Directors of the Warwick Jaycees, President and member of the Board of Directors of Warwick Little League, Director of Junior Football in the Warwick Football League, and Investor and Owner of RI Real Estate and Businesses.
He was the father of Michele M. Proulx and Michael J. Glover; grandfather of Jessica Proulx.
His funeral service will be held Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick. Burial with military honors will be in the Rhode Island Veterans’ Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m.
