Michael “Mickey,” Rainone, age 87, of Leland Avenue, Warwick, died at home on Sunday, February 12, 2017. He was the husband of Barbara J. (Bartlett) Rainone. They were married for 66 years.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Joseph and Elvira (Sylvestre) Rainone, he lived in Warwick for most of his life. Mr. Rainone was the founder of Warwick Poultry, which he owned and operated for 40 years, retiring in 1996. He was a life-long member and past president of the Little Rhody Beagle Club, and a member of the Thornton Beagle Club. He was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman, and a devoted fan of the New York Yankees.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mary Ellen Jenison (James Marvelle) of Pascoag; three sons: Michael Rainone, Jr. (Janice) of East Greenwich, Kenneth J. Rainone (Rachel Juaire) of Coventry, and Carl M. Rainone of Warwick; two brothers, Carl Rainone of Coventry and Angelo Rainone of Johnston; a sister, Anna Mansolillo of Providence; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Jack Rainone, Anthony Rainone, Augustus Rainone, Marie Gianfrancesco, and Joseph Rainone.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 15, at 9 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
