Michael O’Sullivan, age 86, of Warwick, died on Thursday, January 28, 2106, at Kent Regency in Warwick. He was the beloved husband of Joan F. (Knox) O’Sullivan.

Born in Fermoyle, Emlaughmore, County Kerry, Ireland, he was the son of the late Daniel and Kathleen (O’Sullivan) O’Sullivan. Michael was a proud United States Army veteran of the Korean War, and a life member of the VFW. Before retiring, he worked for Pease and Curren Refinery as a melter of precious metals. He was a faithful communicant of St. Kevin Church, a member of Ireland’s “32” Society, and an active member of the set dancing class of the Irish Ceilidhe Club of Rhode Island.

He leaves a son, Michael E. O’Sullivan; two daughters, Annemarie O’Sullivan and Jennifer Tainsh and her husband, Andrew; two sisters, Nancy Heavey, and Michael’s twin, Bridget Goodwin; eight loving grandchildren, Danielle, Victoria, Aiden, Connor, Owen, Cailin, Collin, and Merry; and a great-granddaughter, Evelyn. He was predeceased by one sister, Mary O’Gara, and two brothers, C. Robert Sullivan and Patrick O’Sullivan.

His funeral was held on Monday, February 1, from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Burial with military honors was in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
