Michael R. Turbitt, 34, of Namquid Drive, Gaspee Point, Warwick, died March 7, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.

Born in Warwick, a son of Raymond J. and Sharon (Ryan) Turbitt of New Port Richey, Fla., he lived in Coventry before moving to Warwick 16 years ago. He was a graduate of Coventry High School and attended the Community College of Rhode Island.

In addition to his parents he is survived by a brother, Dr. Brian P. Turbitt of Warwick.

A funeral service was held March 10. Burial was private.
