Mildred M. (Dawson) Plebiscito, 88, of Warwick passed away on May 8, 2016 at Kent Hospital. She was the wife of the late Horace B. Plebiscito.

Born in Johnston, she was a daughter of the late Rufus and Johanna (Klein) Dawson. Mrs. Plebiscito was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed antiques, was very artistic in arts in crafts, and was known to be exceptional in cake designing. She also worked for various companies through the years; among them; McCloud Optical, Sears, and Filenes.

She was the beloved mother of Ronald E. Plebiscito and his wife, Karen of Groton, CT, Joyce M. Plebiscito of Warwick and Debra A. Engelke and her husband, Richard of Marlton, NJ. Loving grandmother of Laura Engelke and her husband, Mario Leone and Brittany Weise and her husband, Mark. She was the caring sister of the late Frederick, John, Russell and Rufus Dawson, Ruth Parys and Helen Bannon.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 10 a.m. in the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
