‘Monopoly: The Ultimate RI Edition’ to benefit Hasbro Children’s Hospital

This holiday season, it’ll be even easier for Rhode Islanders to give the gift of one of America’s most popular and beloved board games – one featuring a special Ocean State twist. All Rhode Island CVS/pharmacy locations have now joined a select list of local retailers selling “Monopoly: The Ultimate Rhode Island Edition” to benefit Hasbro Children’s Hospital.

The game, which debuted at Hasbro Children’s Hospital’s Monopoly Ball this past March, was created by Hasbro, Inc. to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Hasbro Children’s Hospital and 20 years of caring for a generation of kids. And, because Hasbro, Inc. had donated the special-edition product, 100 percent of all sales revenue will support pediatric care, education and research at Hasbro Children’s Hospital.

Much like the original Monopoly game that’s entertained generations of players, “Monopoly: The Ultimate Rhode Island Edition” is a fast-dealing property trading game that positions players against each other to acquire and develop properties. Specific to the state we call home, this special version of Monopoly includes Rhode Island-themed tokens and game spaces, and the traditional houses and hotels have been replaced with apartments and condos.

In addition to being available at all Rhode Island CVS/pharmacy locations, and through the Hasbro Children’s Hospital website at https://giving.lifespan.org/Buy-RI-Monopoly, customers may purchase the game at the following retail partners:

AIM Academy: 3355 South County Trail, East Greenwich

Benny’s Stores: Statewide

Big Blue Bug Solutions: 161 O’Connell Street, Providence

Eastside Marketplace: 165 Pitman Street, Providence

Lori’s Gift Shop at Hasbro Children’s Hospital: 593 Eddy Street, Providence

PawSox Store at McCoy Stadium: One Ben Mondor Way, Pawtucket

The Preservation Society of Newport County Breakers Gift Shop: 44 Ochre Point Avenue, Newport
