Muriel (Choquette) Hazebrouck

Muriel (Choquette) Hazebrouck, age 88 of Warwick, R.I. passed away on September 24, 2013 at her Warwick home, on Narragansett Bay.

Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Sylva and Yvonne (Normandin) Choquette. Muriel received her BA from Regis College in 1942, her MA from Catholic University in 1948, and her MA of Social Work from Boston University in 1977. Her many years as a family therapist helped countless clients and gave her great satisfaction.

She was married to the late Benoit H. Hazebrouck for many years. She is survived by her children: Janine Hazebrouck, Bellingham, Washington, Louise Hazebrouck, Brewster, New York, Henry Hazebrouck, Sunnyvale, California and David Hazebrouck, Chepachet, RI. She also leaves behind four beloved siblings: Normand Choquette, New Orleans, Jacqueline Picard, Cumberland, Pauline Walsh, Cumberland and Robert Choquette, Warwick; and six grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held at Barrett and Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue in Warwick on Monday, October 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral Mass will be held at St. Rita’s Church at 722 Oakland Beach Avenue in Warwick on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Save the Bay or Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island.
