A count of mail ballots did not change the outcome of the District 1 School Committee race.

The count as of election night put incumbent Eugene Nadeau in the lead by 62 votes over Dean Johnson. After counting the more than 400 mail ballots cast on Friday, Nadeau prevailed with 3,885 votes to Johnson’s 3,839. The election left the five-member School Committee unchanged. District 2 incumbent Terri Medeiros retained her seat in a race with Stephen Pope. In District 3 Bethany Furtado was unchallenged. The committee’s two at-large seats will appear on the 2016 ballot.
