The Newport Concert Series at the Newport Yachting Center announces that the Dierks Bentley - Riser 2014 Tour will stop at the Newport Yachting Center on Thursday, June 19 for what promises to be a memorable night of country music. Tickets to the show will be available for purchase for $50.50, $60.50 and $75.50 by visiting www.newportwaterfrontevents.com or by calling Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000. The gates for the concert will open at 5:30 p.m. followed by music on The Point Stage. Music on the Main Stage will follow at 7 p.m. The Newport Concert Series will take place from late May through October at its unique waterfront venue in downtown Newport.

Singer-songwriter Dierks Bentley took the country music world by a storm in 2003 with his self-titled debut album, which went certified platinum in the United States. All total, his albums have sold more than five million copies and garnered 11 Grammy nominations while showcasing his unique mix of modern country, classic country, bluegrass and rock. Starting with Bentley’s tune, “What Was I Thinkin,” he now has enjoyed 10 number one songs in his career. His latest album, “Riser,” marks a milestone in his career by emphasizing his emotional connection to his music and fans.
