Parishioners of St. Kevin Church held an All American Festival during Labor Day honoring military veterans, past parish priests and Warwick mayors, including Mayor Scott Avedisian, who stopped by for some fun Saturday. Congressman Jim Langevin also visited and gave children free ride tickets. Parishioner Christopher Dias served as event chair and said he is pleased with the turnout, as they raised “a substantial amount” for both the church and the school. “We’ve had tremendous community support,” he said, adding that the parish is grateful for the encouragement of parish priest Fr. Robert “Father Bob” Marciano. He also praised Northeast Midway, LLC for the use of their carnival equipment, as well as their professionalism throughout the event. Monday brought along a dance competition. Madasyn Bibby (left, center) was victorious and earned free ride tickets. (Warwick Beacon photos by Jessica A. Botelho)
