EPA invites the public to comment on its proposed Statement of Basis for a Corrective Action remedy determination for the former 21ST Century Environmental Management facility located at 25 Graystone Street in Warwick, Rhode Island. Based upon investigations and closure activities conducted at and around the facility, EPA is announcing its Statement of Basis for a Completion Determination remedy proposal that Corrective Action obligations under the Hazardous and Solid Waste Amendments of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act are “Complete without Controls.” The Statement of Basis proposal includes a summary of the former facility’s history, contaminant investigations, and details of the public comment process. Anyone interested in reviewing this proposal can view the Statement of Basis and other project documents at the Warwick Public Library located at 600 Sandy Lane, Warwick, Rhode Island during the 30 day Public Comment Period. The Public Comment Period will begin August 29, 2013 and run through September 27, 2013.
All interested persons are invited to express their views on this proposed Completion Determination. Written comments related to this proposal should be submitted during the 30 day Public Comment Period to:
