Saint Peter Tri-Parish School attended their inaugural year at the Rhode Island Science Olympiad on April 9 at Rhode Island College. Seven students from the 6th grade volunteered to participate in six events of the 23 offered. The students choose events that interested them including Crime Scene Forensics, Astronomy, Epidemiology, Bottle Rocket, Science Bowl and Bridge Building. The seven students scored better than half of the competitors that included 6th through 8th grade. The school, staff, parents and volunteers were proud to see these 6th graders excel in events as the competed alongside 23 other state middle schools.
